I have been adjusting children for over 15 years now. The quickest and easiest fix has always been in the case of recurrent ear infections. Once you start adjusting one of these children on a regular basis and instruct the parent on some natural food remedies, it is quite easy to erradicate the recurrent ear infections. The truth is that once you start adjusting the child, the immune system is brought to life and most recurrent illness are easily eliminated. Enjoy the case study below.

Improvements in Hearing, Speech, Development, and Behavior Following Chiropractic in a 4 Year Old Male
Ryan Pilsner, D.C. & Megan Richardson, D.C.
Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health - Chiropractic ~ Volume 2011 ~ Issue 1 ~ Pages 14-22 Abstract
Objective: To review improvement in a child with otitis media, adenoid hypertrophy, nasal congestion, and hearing loss associated with speech difficulties, developmental delay, and behavioral concerns undergoing chiropractic care.
Clinical Features: A 4 year-old male presented with complaints of otitis media with effusion, adenoid hypertrophy, nasal congestion, bilateral hearing loss, speech difficulties, developmental delay, and behavioral concerns. Vertebral subluxations were found at upper cervical and upper thoracic vertebral levels.
Intervention and Outcomes: After 11 chiropractic adjustments including instrument and diversified techniques patient’s re-evaluation with ENT physician revealed resolution of otitis media with effusion, adenoid hypertrophy, nasal congestion, hearing loss and improvement of speech, development, and behavior. Patient had improved intervertebral motion in the upper cervical and upper thoracic spine.
Conclusions: This case report presents supporting evidence that chiropractic adjustments may improve immune system functioning, thus relieving otitis media, adenoid hypertrophy, nasal congestion and their subsequent effects. More research is recommended to support the findings presented in this paper and to examine the role vertebral subluxation has on immune function.
The above words probably caught the attention of a lot of you. If you are experiencing these problems, chiropractic can help. In this case, restoring proper kinesiological and neurological function by reducing vertebral subluxation(spinal misalignment) restored proper afferent stimulation of the autonomic nervous system resulting in a reduction of symptoms. Many times I find that it is a combination of improper cervical (neck) structure as well as nutritional deficencies. If anyone in your family or friendly circle is experiencing these problems, i would be happy to have a look at them. Please read the short abstract below. Read in good health, Dr. Kim Maziarz . Improvement in a Child with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Constipation, and Deformational Plagiocephaly Undergoing Chiropractic Care Robin Swaminathan, D.C. Bio & Laura Hanson, D.C., D.I.C.C.P. Bio Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health - Chiropractic ~ Volume 2011 ~ Issue 1 ~ Pages 9-13 Abstract Objective: The chiropractic management of an infant with of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), constipation and deformational plagiocephaly is described. Clinical Features: A 5-month-old female presented for care with complaints of GERD since birth and constipation since she was 4-6 weeks old. At the time of initial presentation medication was not affecting frequency or amount of reflux symptoms. Bilateral flattening of the occiput was noted indicating deformational plagiocephaly. Intervention and Outcomes: The patient was seen 19 times over approximately 6 months for chiropractic evaluation and management. Chiropractic adjustments included atlas, T2, L4, sacrum and the cranial vault. At the time of a 6-month care reassessment, the patient had ceased taking anti-reflux medication and was regularly having 1 to 2 bowel movements per day. The patient’s plagiocephaly was improved with only slight leveling of the occiput noted. Conclusions: In this case, restoring proper kinesiological and neurological function by reducing vertebral subluxation restored proper afferent stimulation of the autonomic nervous system resulting in a concomitant reduction in subluxation findings, deformational plagiocephaly and visceral dysfunction. Autisim and autism-like disorders are growing. Unfortunately, most people do not know that chiropractic is not just for back pain. These individuals with ADHD, autism and any kind of nervous disorders can be helped with chiropractic care. Removal of any kind of interference in the nervous system can help the body work better, reduce symptoms, and prevent illness and injury. Everyone, sick and well, should have a chiropractor. If you do not have one and you do not live in my area, please email me, I will screen and find one in your area. Nicholas SC Marini, B.S., D.C. Bio & Stephen C Marini, M.S., D.C., PhD Bio Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health - Chiropractic ~ Volume 2010 ~ Issue 3 ~ Pages 107 -115 Abstract Objective: To describe and discuss the objective and subjective changes in a 6 year old male child following chiropractic care over a period of 16 weeks who was originally diagnosed with Autism.Clinical Features: A 6 year old boy presents with reduced social interaction, altered behavioral patterns, language deficits, and learning difficulties. The child was previously diagnosed with Autism by a neurologist after brain pathology was ruled out. The child was up to date with all vaccinations per the recommended medical schedule.Interventions and Outcomes: Objective data, such as static palpation, motion palpation, and leg checks were used to determine the presence of vertebral subluxations in the child. The Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC) was also used. A chiropractic adjustment schedule along with dietary and supplementation recommendations were advised at the initial visit. Diversified, Thompson Drop Assisted techniques, and trigger point therapies were used to reduce the subluxations that were found. Over the 16 week period, where adjustments were given regularly, a reduction in vertebral subluxation patterns and an improved ATEC score were noted. Improvements in learning abilities, social interactions, language skills, and behavioral patterns were also noted. Conclusion: In this case, a possible link between chiropractic care and the reduction of autistic signs and symptomatology is indicated due to the improvements in subjective and objective findings. Studies of a similar nature have been conducted previously with similar outcomes. However, more research needs to be conducted in order to evaluate the precise connection between vertebral subluxation, chiropractic care, Autism, and other Autistic-like Disorders.
I have placed this study below as an example of how removing subluxations from the nervous system via chiropractic adjustments can affect many "medical" conditions. Whether you have symptoms or are "symptom- free".....anyone can benefit from removing pressure from the nervous system. Care: A Case Study Adam Willemin, D.C. Bio Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health - Chiropractic ~ Volume 2010 ~ Issue 2 ~ Pages 89 -94 Abstract
Objective:To report on the efficacy of chiropractic care of an eleven year-old patient with vertebral subluxation and dizziness, ataxia, and visual disturbances concomitant with anatomical variants similar to Arnold-Chiari Malformation Type 1. Clinical Features:The patient is an 11- year-old female who had a one month history of dizziness, fuzzy vision, and inability to stand or walk unassisted. MRI revealed an anatomical variant in which the patient’s cerebellar tonsils protruded 2mm into the foramen magnum, and there was compression of the pituitary gland by cerebral spinal fluid (CSF). The patient was no longer able to attend school, or perform normal daily activities of an eleven year-old. Physical exam findings indicated the presence of vertebral subluxation at the atlas and occiput. Interventions and Outcomes:Specific manual and drop table assisted adjustments were performed, primarily in the upper cervical region, based on evidence of subluxation. The patient responded well to care with complete resolution of cerebellar symptoms. Conclusion:Chiropractic care was rendered with positive results for a pediatric patient suffering from symptoms similar to that of an Arnold-Chiari Malformation Type 1. Resolution of upper cervical subluxation findings occurred along with the resolution of cerebellar symptomatology. Key Words: Chiropractic, ataxia, cerebellar, pediatric, subluxation, Arnold Chiari
